WALTERBORO: Mrs. Nancy Evans Langdale, wife of the late Edward Donald Langdale, died Tuesday at the Colleton Medical Center after a brief illness. She was 79.


Mrs. Langdale was born June 29, 1936 in Harmony, NC, a daughter of the late Alfred Evans and Mamie Safrit Evans. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, canning and spending time outdoors with her flowers and plants.

She is survived by two sons, Gary Langdale (Lisa) of Kannapolis, NC and Brent Langdale (Christy) of Greer, and by one daughter, Tammy Long (David) of Green Pond. There are five grandchildren: Tyler, Andrew and Sam Langdale, Lauren Long and Kelly Banks (Michael). She also leaves behind two great grandchildren, Justin and Kayla Banks.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
