Olen Frederick Paschall, Jr. "Fred", 75, passed away in his home on Friday, May 26, 2023, after a brief illness.

Born in Walterboro, South Carolina, on January 23, 1948, the only child to the late Olen and Eloise Paschall. He graduated from Bells High School in Lodge, South Carolina, in 1968, and from Vanderbilt University Scarritt College in 1972. He was a retired Chief Boatswain's Mate in the United States Coast Guard having proudly served in Operation Desert Storm. He was also employed by the Lorain County Court system until his retirement in 2006. Olen had a passion for aviation and flying and was a commercial pilot and flight instructor for many years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Francine (nee Kretschmann) of 32 years, his children, Frederick Scott of Edisto, South Carolina, Joshua Devin of Chapin, South Carolina, Aaron Geyer (Courtney) of Camden, South Carolina, and Elaine Roseberry (Matthew) of Marysville, Ohio; six grandchildren, Liam, Ella, Dane, Glen, Joshua, and Mauricio; and his best friend of over 60 years, Johnny McMillan (Donna) of Lodge, South Carolina.

In addition to his beloved parents, he is preceded in death by his grandmother, Sannie Carter Bennett.

His greatest accomplishment and legacy are his family who will carry on his endless stories and humor throughout their lives. He will be greatly missed.

At the request of the family, there will be a private graveside service in Carter's Ford Baptist Church Cemetery in Lodge, South Carolina, with full military honors.
