Patrick "Pat" Stare sadly and unexpectedly passed away Wednesday, August 6th.

Pat was born September 24, 1957 to Edwin and Virginia Stare in Spokane, Washington. He attended Washington State University, subsequently obtaining his Masters degree from the University of North Texas.

Pat leaves behind his devoted wife Lois Ford Stare whose love he cherished and whose heart he'll hold infinitely; his daughter Stephanie whose bond was undeniable and pride was immeasurable.  Pat also leaves behind his beloved son Cameron, daughter-in-law Megan, and a soon to arrive grandchild, who will forever be encouraged and loved from above. Pat enjoyed coaching both his son and daughter in youth sports, being involved with the building committees at their respective schools, and furthering his son's attainment of the rank of Eagle Scout in the BSA.

Pat was the much adored, and devoted "Pop" to Laken, JR, Henry,  and Oliver Roman as well as to Trace, Linsea, Charlotte, and Logan Ford. His snuggles and tickles were both unexpected and generous. His math, golf, treasure hunting, drawing, swimming, and snack-sneaking tutelage will influence generations.

Pat also leaves behind his Uncle, Jerry Polich with whom he shared cross country travels and his sense of humor.

Pat was a well respected Commercial Real Estate Developer for over 35 years, starting his career with Hines in Spokane, moving to Dallas and then finishing his career at Woodbine Development. Some of the projects he was most proud of were The Dallas Galleria, The Hotel Contessa in San Antonio, The Pearl in San Antonio, and Mountain Shadows Resort in Scottsdale.

Pat was the true definition of a gentleman.  A man who was strong yet tender. Intelligent yet silly. Opinionated yet humble. Conservative yet curious. Hardworking yet laid back.

Not only was Pat very talented in so many different ways, he was also a man of faith who was loyal, thoughtful, attentive and clearly very, very loved.

Simply, Pat Stare's presence and his smile  made life more beautiful in every way for those he touched and especially those he loved.
