Mr. Paul Everette Mole, husband of Hisako Mole, passed away Saturday, October 24 at his home in Walterboro, under hospice care and surrounded by his loving family.
Paul was born on June 4, 1938 in Brunson, South Carolina to J. Hersey and Sudie Crosby Mole. After retiring from Asten Hill (Asten Johnson), he worked as an independent truck driver and later worked as an independent contractor for The Post and Courier, The State, and The New York Times.
Paul was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He also loved umpiring softball for the Colleton County Industrial League and local area tournaments.
Paul is survived by his wife of 60 years, Hisako (Sako) and their three children: Sharon Courtney (Tracy), Leisa Rauch, and Wesley Mole (Tina). He has 3 grandchildren: Matthew Crosby (Katie), Joshuah Rauch (Kimberly), and Zachary Rauch along with 4 great-grandchildren, Hayden, Tucker, Natalie, and Grayson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Hersey Jr.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 27 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home with burial following at Live Oak Cemetery in Walterboro. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m., Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro.
