Obituary

Mrs. Pearl Nettles Kinard, 89, of Walterboro passed away peacefully at her residence Wednesday, March 30. Born in Colleton County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Emma Lyons Nettles.

Mrs. Kinard was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church #1. She was married to the late James Mitchell Kinard for 51 years.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 3, at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Kenneth McCaskill officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with scripture and prayer offered by Reverend Ralph Warren. The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary beginning at 2:00 prior to the service.

Surviving are her son, Mitchell Lamonte Kinard and his wife Connie of Walterboro, daughter, Melanie Kinard Ferguson and her husband Frampton of Furman and Edisto Island, 4 grandchildren, KiKi Kinard Swan of Edisto Island, Shannon L. Kinard of Provo Utah, William Brice (Bud) Herndon, Jr. of Walterboro, and Scarlett Leigh Rizer, also of Walterboro, 3 great grandchildren, Myles Keller, Mariah Swan, and Kelsey Olivia Rizer, and a sister-in-law, Bette L. Nettles of Beaufort.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Agape Hospice for the compassionate care given to Mrs. Kinard during the past weeks.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to, Agape Hospice, 113 Washington Street, Suite G, Walterboro, SC 29488 or to the Pine Grove Baptist Church, 99 Pine Grove Road, Walterboro, SC 29488.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional services of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street, Walterboro, SC.
