WALTERBORO:     Richard E. Cawley, husband of Sherry Arent Cawley, passed away Thursday morning, September 24, 2026 at The Fellowship in Mount Pleasant, after a period of declining health.  Richard was well-known throughout the area for the annual garden he cultivated, which  produced some of the best tomatoes and corn in the Lowcountry.  He was also an excellent breeder of English Springer Spaniels.  Richard was 83.  Arrangements for his funeral are incomplete at this time, but will be announced soon by Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home.
