ROUND O :     Mr. Richard "Ricky" Bryant Seigler Sr., husband of Bonnie Nettles Seigler, passed away Monday evening, April 20, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family, under the care of Amedisys Hospice and his devoted wife, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.  He was 70.

Ricky was born in Colleton County on August 8, 1949 a son of the late Bryant and Mae H. Seigler.  He retired from Bi Lo, and had also worked at H and D Supermarket.  He was employed with the water department of the city of Walterboro, and also served in the South Carolina National Guard.  Ricky was a hard worker, and in his retirement spent the majority of his time doing what he enjoyed the most…cutting grass. He was an active member of Bedon Baptist Church, and was well-known for his constant care and maintenance of the church cemetery.   He was an outdoorsman, who loved to hunt, fish, and plant gardens.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children:  Richard "Buckshot" Seigler Jr. (Carol), Lemuel Seigler (Miranda), and Stacy Seigler O'Quinn (Tommy), all of Round O.  There are three step-children:  Diane Huntley (Mark) of Myrtle Beach, Stephen Crosby (Samantha) of Cottageville, and Kevin Crosby (Courtney) of Lexington.  There are a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as extended family.  In addition to his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by his first wife Linda Gentry Seigler, by his brother Ronald W. Seigler, and by his mother-in-law Maude Nettles.

In lieu of the circumstances that currently exist in the nation with the coronavirus pandemic, and with the health and safety of the community in mind, a private graveside service will be held at the Bedon Baptist Church Cemetery.  A public celebration of his life will be held at a later date that will be announced, and memorials may be made to either the Bedon Baptist Church Cemetery or Family Life Center.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
