WALTERBORO: Mr. Robert Charles Lowenthal, husband of Grace Elizabeth Sanders Lowenthal,  died Friday morning, September 28, 2018 at his residence.  He was 77.

Mr. Lowenthal was born September 7, 1941 in New York, NY a son of the late Maurice Carl Lowenthal and Elsie Florence Behrens Lowenthal.  He worked his entire adult life in the retail furniture business, except for four years he spent as a goat  dairy farmer in Arkansas, which he considered the best four years of his life.  Retired since 2003, he enjoyed tending animals and his gardens.  Though born Jewish, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1982. and was baptized in 1984.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children:  Justin Cole Lowenthal (Michelle) of Walterboro,  Dr. Elizabeth Ann Lowenthal of Columbiana, Alabama.  There are three grandchildren:  Ian Cade Lowenthal, Naomi Elise Lowenthal and Elizabeth Rose Lowenthal of Walterboro, SC.

Private graveside services were held Friday afternoon, September 28, 2018 in the Live Oak Cemetery.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral home of Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
