WALTERBORO :     Robin Denise Berry, daughter of the late C. Willis Berry and the late Effie Elizabeth "Betty" Fox Berry, and the beloved companion of Christopher "Chris" Horsley, passed away unexpectedly Friday afternoon, June 5, 2026 in Walterboro after a brief illness.  She was 64.

Robin was a wonderful and generous person. She loved animals, including her beloved Chihuahua, Buddy. She was very smart, graduating from John C. Calhoun High School at age 16.

She was disabled from an accident in a downtown store, but before that she worked at Pioneer Machinery as a clerk, and delivery employee. She always said that was her favorite job.

Her parents were wonderful as well, adopting Robin at birth. She never was able to find her birth parents because of South Carolina's very strict adoption laws. She and Chris spent lots of time trying to find out who her birth parents were and if there were any brothers or sisters. Their efforts were unsuccessful.

She grew up right here in Walterboro, where her adoptive parents raised her right and loved her as if she was their own. She loved them just the same. Robin was very much Pro Life, as you can imagine.

She loved to go for motorcycle rides with Chris before her health started to decline. Still, she would drive her Camaro to see her best friend, Josephine. She also enjoyed boating, fishing, and going to the gun range to gain experience with her firearms.

She had one son, Travis, and three grandchildren, Hannah, Caitlin and Rogan.  Robin will be sorely missed by many. She was a pleasure to be around. Life is so fragile.

RIP Dearest Robin. You will be missed, but memories will remain of your friendliness and generosity. We will all see each other again in paradise.

Friends are invited to gather for a time of remembrance and reflection Thursday evening, June 11, 2026 from 5:00 until 6:30 at Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro.
