WALTERBORO :     Roger M. Brown, an avid outdoorsman and a renowned trainer of hunting dogs in the area, passed away at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston Tuesday morning December 2, 2025 at the age of 73.

Roger was a born trainer ...whether it was with the dogs he worked or with the kids who spent their summers alongside him on the farm.  He guided them with patience, humor, and a steady hand, teaching them the value of hard work as they helped him train and feed the animals he loved so dearly.

According to Tradd, Cash and Ryder, it was really THEY who were training Roger...and he cherished every moment of it.

Roger wished for his ashes to be spread beside his favorite bird dog Martha, so they could rest together just as they worked together in life.  Friends are invited to a brief ceremony at 2:00 Sunday, December 14, 2025 at 2:00 at 741 Cypress Pond Road.
