WALTERBORO: Mr. Russell Lee Jamieson passed away Monday evening at the Veteran's Victory House in Walterboro. He was 83.

Mr. Jamieson was born October 17, 1933. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He served during the both Korean War and the Vietnam War, and was the recipient of the Purple Heart for injuries received in battle.


Although he leaves behind no relatives, he will be remembered by his Marine Corps family and a grateful nation.


Graveside funeral services, with full military honors from the United States Marine Corps, will be held Friday morning at 10:00 in the Beaufort National Cemetery. Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home of Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
