WALTERBORO:     Mrs. Sally Ann Batron Laughlin, wife of the late Patrick Luther Laughlin, passed away Wednesday evening, April 16 ,2025 at Magnolias of Walterboro, under hospice care, with her family by her side.  She was 76.

Sally was born in Bar Harbor, Maine January 3, 1949 a daughter of the late Shirley Batron and the late Thelma Gower Batron.  She spent her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and always performed her tasks with professionalism and a compassionate heart.  Sally began loosing her sight years ago, but she felt truly blessed that she was able to see her grandchildren before she became legally blind.  When her health permitted, she loved to travel with her family, and in recent years enjoyed listening to cassettes for the blind, and spending time with her friends at Magnolias.

Sally is survived by her daughter Kimberly "Kim" Adkins and her husband Thomas of Walterboro, and by her grandchildren Joshua (Melissa), Benjamin, and Samantha.  She also leaves behind her sister Janice Laughlin (Michael) of Maine.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Lewis Batron.

A memorial service will be held Friday evening, April 25, 2025 at 7:00 in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home.  Committal services will be held Friday morning, May 2, 2025 at 11:00 at the Beaufort National Cemetery.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
