Mrs. Sandra Gardner Ackerman, wife of Linwood Ackerman, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 6, 2022.  She was 84.

Mrs. Ackerman was born February 16, 1938 in Holly Hill, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Lawrence Lewis Gardner and Lois Smoak Gardner.  She was a homemaker and was of the Christian Faith.

In addition to her husband of sixty years, she leaves behind her daughter, Holly Ackerman of Inman, and her son, Jay L. Ackerman of Atlanta, Georgia.  There is one brother, Larry Gardner (Esther) of Holly Hill.  She was predeceased by a sister, Wilhelmina Holloway.

A graveside service will be held Monday, September 12, 2022 at 2:00 at the Cottageville Cemetery in Cottageville.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro, is assisting the family with arrangements.
