WALTERBORO: "Sheba" Benton Lowery, wife of Harold Lowery, died Tuesday afternoon at her home under hospice care. She was 72.

Mrs. Lowery was born May 13, 1944 in Walterboro, a daughter of the late Hayward Warren and Donie Hiers Warren. She loved fishing and crabbing, cooking and canning, and having cookouts with her family. She enjoyed spending time outdoors working in her garden, growing flowers and bird watching. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her grand-boys very much.

In addition to her husband of forty-five years, she is survived by two children, Wendy "Shug" Martin (Johnny) and Anthony "Tony" Lowery. She has two grandsons, Tyler and Dustin Martin. She has four siblings: Thelma Bryan, Vesta Mae Adams, Ernest "Bubba" Warren and David Warren. She is also survived by a special friend, Barbara Catterton. "Sheba" was preceded in death by two sisters, Daisy Mae Smith and Barbara Prescott.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday at Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul St., Walterboro, SC, 29488.
