Steven Brian Hale, beloved son of the late Carroll E. Hale and the late
Sharon   Kay   Raymond   Hale,   passed   away   early   Wednesday   morning,
October 8, 2025, at the Hampton Regional Medical Center, after a brief
illness at the age of 62.

Steven was born July 28, 1963, in Seattle, Washington. He was a source of
joy and inspiration throughout his life to his family and friends, and his loving
personality and radiant smile were a blessing to everyone he met.

As a child, Steven was a resident of the SCDDSN Coastal Center in Ladson,
SC   for   many   years,   where   he   was   given   medical   care,   therapy,   and
instruction for learning basic life tasks and developmental education. As an
adult, he later and still currently had been residing at the Hampton County
Disabilities and Special Needs Group Home on Hampton Road in Varnville,
SC. The caretakers, and fellow residents at the group home, were all a close
knit wonderful extended family in every sense of the word.

Steven is survived by three siblings: Sandra "Sandy" Hale Walling (Chuck) of
Ruffin, Michael Hale (Jeff) of Reidsville, Georgia, Jeffery Hale (Kymberly) of
Columbia, and Stacy Hale Sonnenberg (Lawrence) of Walterboro.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning, October 13, 2025 at 11:00 in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial following in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00.
