Walterboro

Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tamar (Tami) Richardson Eversole, 80,
of Walterboro, SC, on December 10, 2025. A wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend
whose kindness, compassion, and generosity touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Born in Woodstock, Illinois, Tami grew up on the family farm in Spring Grove, Illinois where
she developed a lifelong love for horses and painting. She worked as a registered nurse for many
years, dedicating herself to the care and comfort of her patients. After retiring, Tamar continued
to serve her community through volunteer work at the Colleton County Animal Shelter, where
she found great joy in fostering puppies.

Tami was married to Frank Eversole for 48 wonderful years. She was preceded in death by her
parents, Connell and Della Medley. She is survived by her husband, her sister Priscilla
Kaufmann of Richmond, VA, and their four children: Christopher Eversole (Amy) of Charleston,
Kimberly Eversole of Walterboro, Daniel Eversole (Monica) of Walterboro, and Lindsay
Eversole of Walterboro. She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: Tylar, Kayla,
Dalton, Alexa, Tyler, Peyton, Noah, and Quinn, who brought her boundless joy and love.

She was in the compassionate care of Lowcountry Community Hospice House in Summerville,
SC, and Heartland Hospice of Walterboro in her final days. The family is deeply grateful to the
wonderful staff of both organizations as well as Centerwell Home Health and the Rehabilitation
Unit at the Colleton Hospital. Special thanks to Sarah, Sam and Cheri of Heartland Hospice for
their exceptional care and support.

Tamar's love for animals, art, and her family defined her life. She will be remembered for her
love and devotion to her family, her selfless care for others, and her generosity of spirit.
A private family service will be held in Tamar's honor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests
donations to the Friends of the Colleton County Animal Shelter, a cause that was close to her
heart.
