WALTERBORO: Temperance Elizabeth Youmans "Temp" Thompson died peacefully at the Colleton Medical Center after a brief illness on Fri, Oct 28, 2022.  She was 87 years old.

Temp was born on Feb 14, 1935 in Cottageville, SC.  She was a daughter of the late Ivey and Edna Youmans of Cottageville.  She worked at Old Fort Packing Co and Clyde O Ackerman Attorney Law Offices in Walterboro and Poplar Creek Landing in Elloree, SC.  She was an active member of Grace Advent Christian Church in Walterboro, SC.

Temp will be fondly remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.  She enjoyed cooking and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Edward "Eddie" Thompson (Cindy) of Moncks Corner, SC, Charles Kenneth "Sam" Thompson (Carolyn) of Laurinburg, NC.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Amber, Will, Chris, Whitney, Anna, Haley and Taylor, and great grandchildren Eden, Damien, Axel, CharLee, Wesley, Makayela, Rivers, Myla, Avery, Wyatt and Senna.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Cornelius "RC" Thompson, Jr and siblings Billy Youmans, Roy Youmans and Peggy Youmans Collier.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, November 3, 2022 at 3:00 at Grace Advent Christian Church, with burial following in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 in the church sanctuary.  Services will be livestreamed through the Facebook page of Grace Advent Christian Church.   Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home in Walterboro is in charge of the arrangements.
