WALTERBORO: Mrs. Thelma Warren Bryan, wife of W.G. "Bill" Bryan, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, April 30, 2026 at her home in Walterboro, under hospice care, with her family by her side. She was 76.
Thelma was born in Lodge November 18, 1949 a daughter of the late Heyward and Donie Hiers Warren. She worked as a seamstress for many years before becoming the manager of The Tobacco Shop on Charleston Highway in Walterboro, where she was a dedicated worker and a familiar face. Thelma loved spending time with her sisters going to yard sales and fishing, and she was a devoted wife and mother.
In addition to her husband of 43 years, she is survived by her daughter Dena Headley, and by her grandson Joshua Headley. She has two brothers, Ernest "Bubba" Warren and David Fred Warren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Daisy Smith, "Sheba" Lowery, Barbara Prescott and Vesta Mae Blocker.
No public services are planned at this time. Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
