WALTERBORO: Timothy Wayne Thornton died Sunday February 28, 2016 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida from injuries sustained in an Automobile accident. He was 38.

Timothy was born in Columbus, GA June 20, 1977 a son of Harriett Ritter Thornton and the late Timothy William Thornton. He was raised in Walterboro, and attended Living Word Church. He was in the construction business in Pensacola at the time of his passing.

In addition to his mother of Pensacola, he is survived by his son, Timothy W. Thornton Jr. of Walterboro. He has three siblings: Brad Chuck Jones of Mobile, AL, Sherry Lynn Bearden (Billy) of Pensacola, and Amy Lynn Stewart of New Albany, MS. He leaves behind his uncle, William Curtis Ritter of Orlando, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.


Graveside funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11:00 at the Smoak Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6-8 PM at Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home of Walterboro.
