WALTERBORO:     Mrs. Tricia Ann Schmid Damanski, wife of James "Jim" Damanski, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025 at her home in Walterboro after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was 55.

Tricia was born in Springfield, Ohio June 12, 1970 a daughter of Victoria and Richard Schmid.  She was a decorated 911 Dispatcher with over 20 years of service in Onondaga, New York.  She loved holidays…especially Halloween…and was a practical jokester who didn't miss an opportunity to pull a fast one on family and friends alike.  Tricia placed the needs and desires of her family above all else, and was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother who will truly be missed.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Victoria Borton Gore, and by her daughters Abigail Wells and Ashley Jackson.  She leaves behind her granddaughter Adriana Frigon, and her beloved puppies Lacy and Cora.  In addition to her father Richard, she was preceded in death by her step-father Ray Gore.

The family will hold a celebration of her life at 5:00 on Friday, June 12, 2026 at the Kirkville Fire Company, 6225 N. Kirkville Road, Kirkville, NY 13082.  The gathering will be to the left of the fire house, behind the building, at the large pole barn, and signs will mark the way..   In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to the American Cancer Society.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro, is in charge of arrangements.
