WALTERBORO :     Walter Allen Davis, husband of Rhonda Heape Davis, passed away Wednesday evening, February 3, 2021 at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.  He was 56.

Walter was born in Hinesville, GA April 7, 1964 a son of the late Douglas and Carolyn Pinnix Davis.  He was a devoted employee of Wood Brothers Construction in Greenpond, and was a member of Victory Baptist Church.  Walter was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and was a man who truly cared about the needs of others… often serving as a shoulder to lean on, and a compassionate listener and problem solver.  He loved the outdoors, especially fishing on the Combahee River.

In addition to his wife of 37 years, he is survived by his son Wesley Davis (Heather), and by grandchildren Weston, Hallie and Hinley Davis.  He leaves behind his sisters Tina Barnes (Tracy) and Katie Godley (Stacey), and his brother Dwayne Davis (Erika).  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving grandparents Clifton and Lucy Pinnix. There are a host of nieces, nephews, and beloved extended family.

Graveside services will be held Saturday morning, February 6, 2021 at 11:00 at the Zahler Cemetery in Yemassee.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Kidney Association.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
