COTTAGEVILLE:     Mrs. Wanda Lee Simmons, wife of the late Thomas W. Simmons, passed away at her home early Wednesday morning, January 22, 2025 under hospice care.  She was 80.

Wanda was born July 24, 1944 a daughter of the late Shelby and Ellen Rutherford Greer.  She was a homemaker and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.  She will truly be missed.

She is survived by four children: Dennis Skipper, and Bryant, Angela and Toni Moore.  She leaves behind her sisters, Thelma Gabbard and Freda Pike.  There are seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.  In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Vivian Stone, by a brother Hershel Carl Greer, and by a sister Sylvia Ann Patton.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon, January 29, 2025 at 1:00 in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial following in the Fox Cemetery.  The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
