Obituary

WILLIAMS: Mr. William Marker Farish, husband of Anne Padgett Farish, passed away Friday evening at his home in Williams. He was 80.

Mr. Farish was born in Washington, DC on April 12, 1935, a son of the late Herbert Moore Farish and Anne Marker Farish. He was a graduate of Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and received his MBA from the University of South Carolina. Mr. Farish retired from the textile and rubber Industry, and was also a retired poultry farmer. He was a member of the Williams United Methodist Church, and previously served on the Board of Directors of the Palmetto Rural Telephone Cooperative.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, William Marker "Mark" Farish Jr., and his wife Dawn of Hendersonville, and Paige Farish Bates and her husband Raddy of Walterboro. There are five grandchildren: Cameron and Alexis Farish and Brittan, Will and Anne Garrett Carter.


Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 in the Williams Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5-7 PM at Parker-Rhoden Funeral home in Walterboro. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the American Cancer Society, or to the Williams Cemetery Fund, c/o Mary Couch, P.O.B. 33, Williams, SC 29493.
