ORLANDO, FL :      Mr. William Curtis Ritter III, age 81, son of the late William C. Ritter Jr. and Janie A. Kinsey Ritter, passed away Thursday morning, November 14, 2019, in Orlando under the care of Advent Health Hospice.

Surviving are his sister Harriet Ritter Thornton, daughter Pamela (Brian) Ritter Gilfillen, and son Michael (Ashley) Curtis Ritter. He also leaves behind four Grandchildren, Brian Terrell, William Hendley, Devon Cheeks, and Bryce Watkins one Niece and three Nephews, Special friend Angel Thorning, and multiple Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Browder Ritter and two siblings, Ida Lee Meeker and Leon "Sonny" Ritter

"Bill" as he was known to most, was born and raised in Walterboro, SC and was a graduate of Bells High School.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he proudly served 12 years as a Munitions Specialist. During his service, he completed two tours in Vietnam. He was the recipient of 2 purple hearts, The National Defense Service Medal, The Vietnam Campaign Medal, and The Vietnam Service Medal.

He was a retired HVAC Construction Foreman with Thermal Acoustics/Grant Air for over 20 years, where he did a lot of work for Disney World. He spent his retirement as an RV property manager, having a great relationship with his tenants and boss. He was always working.

He was a lifetime member and Trustee of West Oaks Church Of God. He considered his church and its members' family. William was always willing to help anyone that needed him, as his friends and family will attest.

Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, November 22, 2019 at 2:00 at the Smoaks Cemetery in Walterboro.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
