WALTERBORO :     Mr. Willie Fairy Bennett Jr., husband of the late Patricia Crosby Bennett, passed away Tuesday morning, July 28, 2020 at his home in Walterboro.  He was 86.

Mr. Bennett was born in Colleton County January 29, 1934 a son of the late Willie Fairy Bennett Sr. and Nellie Johnson Bennett.  He was a retired employee of J.P. Stevens, was a Christian man with a deep love of The Lord, and was a devoted husband and father who especially loved spending time with his family enjoying a meal together sharing togetherness and memories.

He is survived by his son William Gregory Bennett (Yasmin) and by his daughter Audrey Kim Canady.  There are two grandchildren, Courtney Megan Canady and Anna Maria Canady.  In addition to his wife, to whom he had been married to for 59 years at the time of her passing in 2017, Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by a son, Charles Anthony "Tony" Bennett.

In consideration of the circumstances currently existing in the state and nation associated with the Coronavirus, and in consideration of the health and safety of their neighbors and friends, the family will hold a private graveside service at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, where Mr. Bennett will be interred beside his late wife.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
